During the day, you and your team will have the chance to create a new app feature, improve an existing app feature, or make a new app that involves one of the following categories: savings/budgeting, travel, or fundraising. Teams will solve the problem to the best of their ability while additionally creating a marketing plan for what the have developed and give a pitch in the end. If you have not told us anyone specific you would like on your team, we will assign you to a team.

Eligibility

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must be able to meet in person at the Louisville Slugger Museum

Must be willing to work with a team of 2 or more

Must be a professional or studying in the following areas: Marketing, Development, or Design.

Requirements

Must bring a computer with software that enables the individual to either code an application, develop a marketing plan, design marketing pieces or develop social marketing posts.

Judging Criteria

  • Best App Concept
    The best concept of an mobile application improvement or new application around saving money, travel, or fundraising. This is a well thought out app that doesn't have all working parts.
  • Best Functioning App
    The best functioning app will be awarded to the highest functioning mobile application submitted. This is more a technical award for complete code than the best idea.
  • Best Marketing Plan
    The best marketing plan is awarded to the team who has the best pitch for their new app or new app feature. This will include social media posting, flyers, slogan, and pitch to the judges.
  • Best Website Name
    Stacks, LLC is looking for a new website domain and social media handle. The team that creates the best available web domain and accompanying social media handle will win this prize.
